First LNG Tanker Navigates Strait of Hormuz Since Onset of Iran Conflict
A liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker has passed through the Strait of Hormuz to leave the Persian Gulf for the first time since the conflict between the US and Iran began, Bloomberg reported.
The Liberian-flagged vessel, Mubaraz, which loaded LNG cargo from Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.’s Das Island facility in the United Arab Emirates in March, is currently navigating past the southern tip of India, according to the news agency.
Marine Traffic tracking data shows the tanker was last recorded in the Persian Gulf 28 days ago.
