Iran Foreign Minister Says Iran Will Continue Fighting Until Its Goals and Legitimate Demands Are Met

Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, who has traveled to Kyrgyzstan for a meeting connected to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), said in an interview with Tasnim News Agency that Iran is neither afraid of threats nor will it give in to pressure. He added that Iran will not tolerate the language of threats and will continue to follow a principled policy.

Araghchi said protecting the Iranian people and protecting Iran’s interests in the Strait of Hormuz are among Iran’s principles. He also stated that consultations with Russia and China are ongoing and continuous, noting that Iran regularly consults with friends in both countries whenever an opportunity arises. He said that today provided a good chance to discuss details in meetings with Wang Yi and Sergey Lavrov.

The Foreign Minister further remarked that it is natural for there to be talks with Pakistan as a mediator regarding initiatives and proposals. He said there is no issue with mediation between Iran and the United States, but the main problem lies in the United States’ approach.

Araghchi emphasized that Iran has shown it will not be bullied by the United States and will not respond to force, pressure, or threats in any way. He concluded by saying that Iran will continue its course until the goals and legitimate demands of the Iranian people are achieved.
