Iran Presents Reply to Latest US Proposal — Iranian Media

Iran’s official news agency, IRNA, reported on Sunday, May 10, that Tehran has formally submitted its response to a proposal put forth by the United States through Pakistan, which has been acting as a mediator in the ongoing diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the war of aggression. According to IRNA, Iran’s reply emphasizes that the current round of negotiations between Iran and the US must be narrowly focused on achieving a cessation of hostilities and resolving the immediate conflict. The response clearly states that other contentious issues, particularly those related to Iran’s nuclear program and associated disputes, are to be set aside and addressed only in subsequent phases of the dialogue. This approach underscores Iran’s intent to prioritize peace and conflict resolution first, before tackling the broader and more complex subjects that have historically complicated bilateral relations.
