Iran Will Not Allow US President Donald Trump to Unilaterally Set an Unrealistic Strait of Hormuz Plan, Says Former IRGC Chief

Former IRGC Chief in an interview with Al Mayadeen TV said that Iran will wot wllow US President Donald Trump to unilaterally set an unrealistic Strait of Hormuz plan.   Amid the ongoing developments and efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the United States appears intent on orchestrating a dramatic and superficial gesture before withdrawing from the scene. However, such tactics will not be allowed to succeed, Rezaei asserted firmly.

He underscored the importance for Tehran to achieve a meaningful and satisfactory outcome from the ongoing indirect negotiations with Washington, emphasizing that Iran must secure tangible benefits from these talks rather than mere symbolic concessions.

Rezaei further stressed that the United States bears full responsibility for the extensive damage it has inflicted on Iran over the years and must be held accountable through reparations.

“We will unquestionably insist on our rights and demand reparations, regardless of whether US military forces eventually withdraw and return home,” stated the Expediency Council member. “For 47 years, we have endured their presence and aggression, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to continue along the path of resistance.”
