Iran Withholds Commitment to Ceasefire Extension

TEHRAN — The Islamic Republic of Iran has yet to sign off on a formal request from the United States to extend the current ceasefire by an additional two weeks, according to reports from the Tasnim News Agency.

While Washington has actively lobbied for the fourteen-day window to maintain the pause in hostilities, Tehran remains non-committal. The delay underscores the fragile nature of the negotiations as both parties navigate a complex diplomatic deadlock.
