Key Topics in Geneva Talks Between Iran and US: Lebanon, Frozen Assets, and Nuclear Dossier — Pakistani Foreign Minister


Speaking to Al Arabiya television, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dan siad that the ongoing US-Iran negotiation t are deeply engaged in discussions surrounding the nuclear dossier, the frozen financial assets of Iran, and the complex developments in Lebanon. These topics form the core agenda of the talks aimed at reaching a comprehensive agreement.

Addressing the broader regional context, the senior Pakistani diplomat strongly condemned Israel’s recent actions, describing them as "provocative" and urging an immediate halt to such measures. He further highlighted his collaboration with counterparts from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey to reinvigorate efforts aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, underscoring the importance of regional stability and peace.


The Iranian delegation, headed by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and accompanied by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the US delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. The mediation was spearheaded by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, working alongside Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.


Prior to the talks, Iranian officials emphasized that any progress hinged on the United States fulfilling its commitments under the preliminary agreement, especially its responsibility to ensure an end to Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
