Latest: Iran Announced That It Has Closed and Is Controlling the Strait of Hormuz Until the Conflict Ends

The Iran Supreme National Security Council has officially announced that the government of Iran will continue to exercise rigorous and comprehensive surveillance and control over the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. This measure is intended to remain in place until the ongoing conflict, described as a US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, is fully and conclusively brought to an end. Theran emphasized that this strict monitoring is crucial to safeguarding Iran’s national security interests and regional stability. Furthermore, Tehran insists that only once a complete cessation of hostilities is achieved and a durable, lasting peace is firmly established in the region will it consider easing these security measures.
