Parliament speaker: Iran wins concessions via missile power, not diplomacy

Tehran is expected to secure concessions through missile strength rather than dialogue, as it can only truly benefit from an agreement when it is prepared for war, stated Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

On his X account he wrote:

1- We seize concessions not through dialogue, but with missiles; in negotiations, we merely make them understand.

2- We have no trust in guarantees or words—only actions are the measure. No action will be taken before the other side acts.

3- The winner of any agreement is the one who is better prepared for war from the day after.

Earlier, Axios reported that US and Iranian negotiators had reached a memorandum of understanding, pending approval by US President Donald Trump. This memorandum reportedly includes an extension of the ceasefire and the start of discussions on Iran’s nuclear program.

However, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, the draft agreement between Iran and the US on resolving the conflict has undergone significant revisions recently and has yet to be finalized.
