Putin Says Russia Seeks a Stable Oil Market, Opposes Global Energy Turmoil
At the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed Russia’s commitment to maintaining stability in the global oil market.
Putin noted that global oil supplies have recently declined by approximately 10%, a development that is unsettling both the international economy and energy markets. He stressed that Russia does not support such instability.
Highlighting the importance of collaboration, Putin emphasized Russia’s intention to continue working closely with partners, particularly within the OPEC+ framework, to stabilize the market and minimize fluctuations. He affirmed that ensuring market stability remains a top priority for Russia and that efforts to achieve this goal will persist.
