Iran’s Foreign Ministry Links US-Led Negotiations to Ceasefire Commitment in Lebanon
Tehran — The spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry emphasized that ongoing negotiations with the United States hinge on Washington’s commitment to a ceasefire in Lebanon. According to the Tasnim News Agency, the spokesman highlighted that ending hostilities in Lebanon is a crucial part of the ceasefire framework proposed by Pakistan.
“The cessation of the war in Lebanon is an integral component of the understanding put forward by Pakistan,” the spokesman said. He added that, as Pakistan’s Prime Minister has clearly stated, the United States has pledged to halt the conflict on all fronts, including Lebanon. Any deviation from this commitment, he warned, would signify a failure by the US to honor its obligations.
