US Intelligence Chief: US Hid Coronavirus Research in Wuhan, COVID-19 Origins
Tulsi Gabbard, US National Intelligence Director, released documents alleging that former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) director Anthony Fauci attempted to conceal US funding of coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
On her final working day in office, Tulsi Gabbard posted a video on X announcing the release of previously undisclosed materials related to COVID-19.

She stated, “Before the COVID pandemic, Dr. Fauci, as head of NIAID, provided millions of US taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, work now widely regarded as the source of the unintentional lab leak that triggered the pandemic.”
Gabbard added, “In support of President Donald Trump’s maximum transparency mandate, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I am releasing never-before-seen communications and documents exposing how Fauci collaborated with politicized career intelligence officials to suppress the truth about his actions, the virus’s lab leak origins, and his role in directing US funding for this risky research that caused immeasurable harm and countless lost lives. These documents reveal Fauci’s direct influence in shaping and manipulating intelligence community assessments on COVID-19.”
